Today (4 th March, 2023) 4th International Conference for two days on ” Entrepreneurship in the Global turbulent scenario: Challenges and Resilience ” was organized by the Entrepreneurial Economists club,Dhaka School of Economics. The conference was inaugurated by the Eminent Economist and Chairman, Governing Council, Dhaka School of Economics.
Dr.Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad said that the economic dynamics have been remarkably facing Challenges in the global world along with advanced and emerging and least developed countries due to unemployment, high inflation,purchasing power declining in the global economy.
Dr.Ahmad put emphasis on strengthening local economy to keep the economy resilient.He argued that Entrepreneurial attitude and spread of Entrepreneurial education is very important to attain sustainable development during dynamic situation of this turbulent crisis all over the world.
Keynote paper was presented by Dr.Sardana Khan,Lecturer of Central Queensland University,Australia who said that global turbulence to mitigate requires supply chain management. She developed a residential model for business.
Prof.Anisul M.Islam, Dept.of Economics, University of Houston- Downtown, Texas and Adjunct Faculty Moazzem Hossain, GRIFFITH University ,Australia joined as special guest.
Dr.Tanpat Kraiwanit of Rangsit University,Thailand ,Dr.Yashoda Krishna, GNV Institute of Management, India ,Prof.Dr.Jose Vargas – Hernand ,Mexico and Prof.Kripa S.Gupta of India joined as Guest of Honours.
Prof.Dr.Munim K.Barai ,Japan also presented another paper. As a session Chair Prof .D.Muhammad Mahboob Ali said during the global turbulent government may establish societal banking which include micro savings into micro investment for which need separate regulatory authority is needed.
Among others Rehana Parvin, Assistant Professor, Dr.Sara Tasneem,Assistant Professor, and Shamim Ahmad,Lecturer also spoke on this occassion.
Total 42 papers will be presented in two days giving different directions of Social,economy,business and monetary perspective during ongoing turbulent global scenario to create innovativeresidences.
The programme was followed by Elevator speech,Debate,Case studies,Book Fair and cultural programme in honour of the 7th March Speech of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Shekih Mujibur Rahman in the year 1971.
