This year, in SSC and equivalent exam 2023 in Jessore board Total 155759 (78004 male and 77755 female) students appeared. Among them 134213 (65136 male and 69077 female) students passed, i.e. secured minimum GP 1.0 in every compulsory and elective subject. Percentage of Pass is 86.17. Total 20617 (9247 male and 11370 female) students secured GPA 5.00.

Jessore Education Board History
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Jessore was established for Khulna division in 1963 by an Ordinance (vide East Pakistan Ordinance No. XXXIII of 1961) for the organization, regulation, supervision, control and develoAMent of Intermediate and Secondary level public examinations and educational institutions. The Ordinance was, however, amended in 1962 (No. XVI of 1962) and in 1977 (No. XVII of 1977).
Dr. Abdul Haque was the founding chairman (9.10.1963 to 04.10:30.1965) of BISE, Jessore. Prof. Md. Abdul Alim is the 30 Chairman of Jessore Board.
When BISE, Jessore set out its journey in 1963, there were only four (greater) districts, namely, Khulna, Jessore, Barisal and Kushtia having a total of only 20 colleges and 508 schools. A new district Patuakhali was made in 1969 separating from Barisal increasing number of districts to five. The decentralization of administration in Bangladesh led upgrading all subdivisions to districts in 1984 making the number of districts to 16 (Kushtia, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Jessore, Jhenidah, Narail, Magura, Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalokathi, Barisal. Patuakhali, Barguna and Bhola) under Jessore board.
Subsequently, Barisal was made a division in 1993 and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal was established for Pirojpur, Swarupkathi, Barisal. Patuakhali, Borguna and Bhola districts in 1999 leaving Kushtia, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Jessore, Jhenidah, Narail, Magura, Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat districts under BISE, Jessore.
Keeping pace with the develoAMent efforts of the government of Bangladesh now there are 2708 recognized and 160 temporarily recognized schools and 523 colleges under BISE, Jessore.
Although the medium of instruction in schools and colleges is Bangla, Jhenidah Cadet College, Military Collegiate School of Khulna, Akij Collegiate School, Jessore International School, BAF Shaheen College Islamabad Collegiate School, Khulna, and Navy Anchorage Khulna and Nuhar English Medium Secondary School, Mohammadpur, Magura under BISE, Jessore offer English version of NCTB syllabus to the students..
All education boards came under computerization in 1994 that started student registration through OMR process leading to issuance of Registration cards, Admit cards, processing and publishing exam results. Issuance of Marks sheets/Academic Transcripts and Certificates were also began printed. Online publication of public examination results went into operation in 2011.
Apart from conducting SSC and HSC exams education boards now hold Junior School Certificate (JSC) exam since 2010.
Jessore board has almost made its services automated. Now it provides services to all of its stakeholders online www.jessoreboard.gov.bd. It is time saving, economic, fast and accurate .
BISE, Jessore has provided sub-domains (website) to all of its schools and colleges to upload all information (of physical, academic, students, teaching & non-teaching staff, class routine, academic calendar, exams, result, attendance, performance etc) and providing services. Online Education Management Service of Jessore board plays a pioneering model role to digitalize the education sector of Bangladesh and to translate the Vision 2021 of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina into a realty to build Developed Bangladesh within 2041.
